Our graphic and visual identity is a large and very important part of our brand, and we spend a lot of time and effort making sure everything that comes from Normann Copenhagen is visually coherent. We use our simple typographic black or white logo on everything from products, gift boxes and bags to fabric samples, pens, wrapping paper and much more.
We sat down with our grahic designer, Anne Lehmann, to ask her about her work, and she describes it in these words:
“My collegues and I are very passionate about keeping the same appearance on all our material and nothing is random. My job is basically to make sure that Normann Copenhagen is always looking sharp. For example, a gift box needs to add to the overall experience of the product. A lot of thougths are put into the way the customer opens the box. Several of our boxes resemble the way you open a treasure chest. Also, the choice of cardboard, the finishing, and storytelling and picture on the box are given a great deal of thought. We always try to present our products in the best way possible.”
She elaborates: “Normann Copenhagen has never been afraid to use color, and though our logo is black or white, we often use color on our graphic material to underline the colors in the collection. These colors are also reflected in our trade show stands, pictures, posters, our website etc. This ensures that Normann Copenhagen looks the same no matter if you’re in Paris or Abudabi, and that the look is always streamlined.”
